primary objective of this one-day course will be to
instruct participants in the basic statistical concepts
that are fundamental to clinical research. A series
of lectures covering statistical study designs, sample
size determination, bias control and many other associated
topics will be presented. This course has been
designed for any non-statistician or entry-level statistician
in the clinical research profession who is interested
in attaining a better understanding of the statistical
content of reports and publications. Students
who complete the course will have gained a basic understanding
of statistical methods and issues related to clinical
trials.
